Gondola Getaway

A couple years ago we decided to give the gift of quality time to each other as presents for anniversaries, Christmas, and birthday’s. The deal was I plan a surprise date and he plans a surprise date. I will always choose an opportunity to create everlasting memories over materialistic things. There is nothing more valuable than the gift of quality time.

I decided to book a ride with The Gondola Getaway in Long Beach, CA. It’s a charming one-hour ride around the Naples Canal. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks which is nice. I decided to make charcuterie boxes; I found all the goods at Trader Joes. While the staff at the Gondola Getaway provides ice buckets for your beverages, I recommend having them chilling them before you leave the house so they’re nice and cold when the boat takes off. If you’re looking for a romantic outing, this is it.

After the Gondola ride, we went to grab a bite at Pier 76 Fish Grill in the downtown area. We ended our date with a delicious coffee from Romeo Chocolates on the Historic Pine Avenue.
